Nourishing children. Mind, body, and spirit.
Hope School’s Story
Icene Etienne is a pastor and teacher in Cerca Carvajal, Haiti. He and his wife, Luctamise, have a church and school for the impoverished in the neighborhood. They feed every student who comes to their school. Before COVID, they had 120 students. The numbers are climbing again and currently they have 85 students. For the past 5 years, Pastor Icene has been raising money to build a new school and church building. The old one had become unsafe. Pastor Icene and Luctamise share the gospel of Jesus Christ with every student and long to see Haiti change one child, one heart at a time.
Materials for Learning
Many educational materials in local languages are often out of date. Funding helps to ensure that students have access to current textbooks that are age appropriate and written in their primary language.
Hope School not only provides education and food for the impoverished children in the neighborhood but it also employs teachers so they can support their families.
